Here at Glendale Guest house we are proud warmly welcome all out 'Walking & Hiking Guests' and we offer not only a warm welcome but we always ensure that boot-trays are available for you on arrival and alongside this lots of 'newspaper' too! Yes, newspaper is a very welcome sight, especially if those walking boots are a little damp or soaking wet, the paper inside the boots will help to dry them out making them a lot more comfortable to put back on the the next day - simple but effective.
Eden Valley Daffodil Walk is a picturesque walk through paths & lanes linking three Eden villages in memory of lives lost to coronavirus. The walk will cover a six-mile route between Armathwaite, High Hesket and Low Hesket. 24,000 bulbs have been planted by the local community as a memorial to all those who died during Covid-19 (both directly and indirectly)
A species of narcissi have been especially chosen as they have nectar which will help the insect population along with the birds and the route will be marked with numerous areas of different species of daffodil displays.
